China Power Construction and Alstom sign up for mechanical and electrical equipment of Vietnam Hydropower Station

Polaris Hydropower Network News: On January 21st, the contract for the complete set of electromechanical equipment for the Vietnam Dong Nai 5 Hydropower Station, which was jointly participated by the East China Survey and Design Institute of China Power Construction Group and Tianjin Alstom in the form of a joint venture, was formally signed. This project is the fourth electromechanical equipment contract for the hydropower station obtained by Huadong Institute and Tianjin Alstom in cooperation with the Vietnamese market.

The contract signing ceremony was held in Hanoi, Vietnam. The Vietnam Coal Mining Group Electric Power Corporation, East China Survey and Design Institute and Tianjin Alstom respectively delivered speeches at the signing ceremony. They jointly reviewed the bidding process for the electromechanical equipment of Dong Na 5 Hydropower Station and expressed sincere cooperation and joint construction of the three parties. The Dong Nai 5 project was jointly participated by the East China Institute and Tianjin Alstom in the form of a joint venture. The East China Institute was the leader in the joint venture. Dong Na 5 Hydropower Station is located in the Dong Nai River Basin, Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam. It is a Dong Nai River cascade power station. The power station is equipped with 2 sets of 75MW mixed flow units with a total installed capacity of 150MW. It is planned to start production in 2015.
